Flowocean part of international project to look at floating wind and hydrogen production offshore

Flowocean is part of the IFAISTOS project, financed by ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems together with project partners from Italy and Sweden.

Together with the project partners (Università degli Studi di Parma, Siram Veolia, Mälardalen University and Mälarenergi AB) Flowocean will be exploring the combination of floating wind power and hydrogen production offshore as well as how this can be integrated into the energy system.

Long term energy storage is a very important challenge that we need to meet as more renewable energy is added into the system. We are glad to be part of a project that is looking into different solutions for this. We look forward to working in this project and hope for many important developments towards a sustainable energy system.
