Clean Energy Ministerial Summit Beijing

In December 2016 discussions began with a Chinese financier and partner. In March 2017 a letter of intent was signed, and in early June the investment contract was signed.

In connection with the Clean Energy Ministerial Summit in Beijing Flowocean signed two contracts, one with a Chinese business partner for financing and construction of a first full scale demonstration plant for the company’s floating wind turbine, and the other with a Chinese research institute on open innovation cooperation in renewable energy.

“We had the privilege of joining the Swedish delegation to the Clean Energy Ministerial Summit (CEM8) in Beijing. Energy Minister Ibrahim Baylan, Sweden’s Ambassador to China Anna Lindstedt, and representatives of the Swedish Energy Agency and Business Sweden attended the signing ceremony together with our Chinese partners.
